Incompatibility with VS Professional 2012, Update 3

description

We are using Visual Studio Professional 2012, Update 3 at our company.
We were successfully using the boost debugger visualizers but some time ago they seem to have stopped working.
All boost variable tooltips are as cryptic as without the visualizers installed.

The tool is still shown in the updates manager.
Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help either.

We assume that it stopped working when we installed the latest Update 3 of Visual Studio 2012.

Try update to "Update 4", they fix one issue "Member variables of a type are not properly visualized and displayed when you debug a Visual C++ application."

Some of the issues were already fixed with the Visual Studio Update 4 (boost::optional for example) but the real relief was an update to the visualizer extension today.
That made the flat containers debuggable again.
Many thanks.
I consider the issue solved.
